Wilson M Rubaihayo
Wilson M Rubaihayo-holds a BSc. Degree in Community Psychology from Makerere University and currently undertaking a master’s degree in, Natural Resource and Environmental Management from the same University.
Before joining iSpace Wilson worked with a number of organisations at the fore front in eradicating poverty and disease, he therefore brings unto this team substantial work experience and existing knowledge in the areas of project management and development, organisational capacity building, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), research and advocacy, community mobilization, stakeholder engagement and network building coupled with a high sense of innovation creativity, effectiveness and accountability that has seen him work extensively in countries like: Nigeria Pakistan, Zambia Botswana, Kenya and back home in Uganda.
Wilson is also a founding member of Community Media Network of Uganda (COMNETU) http://www.comnetu.org/.COMNET is a member of the East African community media network EACOMNET and brings together community radios, information centres and telecentres in Uganda.
As a community psychologist by training, and practicing in the field of International development; Wilson constantly seeks to understand life and empower individuals and communities that have been marginalised by society-through contributing his knowledge and skills in the development of dynamic flexible solutions to the growing vicious circle of ill health, poverty, environmental degradation, civil and ethnic conflicts to mention but a few.
